What You'll Learn
This practical, technical ductwork cleaning training covers all components of ventilation systems, from inlet and outlet louvres to fire dampers and silencers. You will learn to:
- Clean supply and extract systems to BS15780 & LPS 2084 standards
- Cut and fit access panels correctly and safely
- Use specialist ventilation cleaning equipment
- Perform verification and sampling procedures (PVT, NADCA, Dip Slides)
- Apply all relevant legislation, guidelines, and quality standards
- Operate and maintain equipment such as rotary brush machines, air movers, and remote cameras
- Safely use industry-approved cleaning chemicals
- Carry out Wet Film Thickness Tests (WFTT) and interpret results
The course includes real plant room demonstrations at the AEME Midlands Training Centre, giving you valuable hands-on experience with professional tools and environments.
Course Aims
AEME’s Ventilation Hygiene Course, has been independently reviewed to meet the National Occupational Standards (BSEBSE01, BSEBSE02, BSEHV11).
By the end, you will be fully competent to carry out ductwork cleaning to NAAD21 and TR19 guidelines, ensuring your work meets legal and insurance requirements.
Certification
At the end of the course, delegates complete a short exam.
Successful candidates will receive:

- Photo ID Card (authorising you to certify air hygiene work)
